Sales Engineer / Solutions Engineer

USA Based (Remote)

Go-To-Market

Title Sales Engineer / Solutions Engineer

About Vorlon

About Vorlon Vorlon is the Agentic Ecosystem Security Platform protecting the converged AI and SaaS ecosystem where AI agents, SaaS apps, third-party APIs, and integrations now touch your most sensitive data. As enterprises deploy autonomous AI, sensitive data moves across systems they don't fully own or control — faster than traditional security tools were built to track.

Vorlon maps every data flow, identity, and integration across your environment and gives security teams the visibility, forensics, and remediation to stop threats before they spread. So enterprises can deploy AI at scale without losing control of their sensitive data.

The agentic ecosystem security market is one of the fastest-growing in cybersecurity as AI, identity, and SaaS risk converge at the execution layer. Vorlon sits at the center of that shift — helping security teams secure what has become the new primary attack surface: the agentic ecosystem.

Role Overview

As a Sales Engineer / Solutions Engineer at Vorlon, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospective customers, partners, and internal teams. You will help security leaders understand their SaaS risk, demonstrate Vorlon’s differentiated value, and guide customers from discovery through successful adoption.

This role blends technical depth, customer-facing communication, and strategic thinking. You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to drive outcomes and shape Vorlon's market positioning.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Account Executives to support the full sales cycle, from technical discovery to proof-of-value and close
  • Lead product demonstrations that clearly articulate Vorlon’s value to security, IAM, and application stakeholders
  • Design and deliver tailored technical walkthroughs based on customer environments, risk posture, and SaaS stack
  • Guide prospects through evaluations and pilots, ensuring successful onboarding and measurable outcomes
  • Translate complex SaaS security, identity, and OAuth risks into clear business and security impact.
  • Respond to technical questions, RFPs, and security reviews with clarity and confidence
  • Act as the voice of the customer, providing feedback to Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap and usability
  • Stay current on SaaS security trends, competitive solutions, and evolving threat vectors

What Makes Vorlon Different (and What You’ll Sell)

  • Broad SaaS visibility across sanctioned and unsanctioned applications
  • Deep focus on identities, access, OAuth tokens, and real-world usage—not just configurations
  • Actionable findings that map directly to remediation steps for security and app admins
  • Flexible, consumption-based licensing that aligns coverage with customer needs over time
  • Built for modern security teams managing SaaS sprawl, not legacy perimeter controls
  • Visibility into AI agents and automation frameworks that authenticate into enterprise SaaS applications using OAuth, service accounts, or delegated access
  • Insight into how enterprise AI systems access, move, and act on sensitive company data across applications, helping teams govern agentic AI with the same controls as human identities

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role
  • Strong understanding of SaaS security, IAM, OAuth, cloud identity, or application risk
  • Experience working with security teams, IT admins, or platform teams in mid-market or enterprise environments
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Hands-on mindset with curiosity to explore customer environments and solve real problems
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SaaS security platforms (SSPM, CASB, identity security, cloud security)
  • Familiarity with common SaaS platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Slack, GitHub, etc.)
  • Prior startup experience or early-stage company exposure

Why Join Vorlon

  • Be part of a fast-growing category at the intersection of AI, SaaS, identity, and security
  • Direct impact on customers, solving real, visible security problems
  • Opportunity to influence product direction and market positioning
  • Collaborative, high-ownership culture with room to grow
