See how Vorlon helped ThoughtSpot simplify their SaaS ecosystem

In this testimonial, Anthony Lee-Masis, CISO & VP IT at ThoughtSpot, shares his experience implementing Vorlon's SaaS ecosystem security platform. He discusses how Vorlon simplified the management of ThoughtSpot's entire SaaS ecosystem, with his director of security engineering being immediately impressed by the rich context the platform provided within days of deployment.

Anthony highlights several key benefits: the platform's ability to automatically perform level one triaging and provide actionable context, saving significant time for his team; a unified view of the entire SaaS ecosystem in a single pane of glass; and enhanced compliance capabilities for international regulations like GDPR through automated alerts and data flow visibility.

He emphasizes Vorlon's rapid time-to-value, noting that unlike other security software that promised 30-day implementations but took months, Vorlon delivered insights within 24 hours of providing API access. Anthony also praises the platform's integration with Jira, which allows his team to manage issues seamlessly without juggling multiple dashboards.

Addressing the growing challenge of AI adoption and third-party risk management, Anthony commends Vorlon's foresight in tackling a problem that has existed for years without a practical solution. He recommends the platform for CISOs, CIOs, and heads of data looking to solve long-standing SaaS security challenges.

Anthony Lee-Masis, CISO & Head of IT, ThoughtSpot:

I think the thing I like most about Vorlon, it simplifies the management of my entire SaaS ecosystem for my team. When my team finds things simpler to use, they often are more engaged. My director of security engineering, when he first looked at the platform within a day or two of it coming online, was just blown away by the rich context that it provided him.

I need to actively be engaged in managing my data or my customer's data flowing in and out of all these systems. There's just constant evolution of the ecosystem. So having the platform basically do all the level one triaging for us and then providing us the context from its findings just saves a tremendous amount of time to describe. The value of the Vorlon platform would be its ability for me or my team to very quickly be able to view our entire SaaS ecosystem in a single pane of glass and very easily know if there's something we need to do.

Vorlon's impact on our compliance efforts, right? Being an international company, you know, GDPR being one of the stricter ones out there. And so being able, you know, configure these alerts and just look at the Vorlon platform to see where the data is flowing and has the ability to alert when something unusual happens.

Well, we have to talk about AI. AI is everywhere. Everybody's doing something AI, and that's another third party risk that we have to manage. There was some foresight two, three years ago when the company was founded that third party risk management is a real thing and it's continuing to blow up.

I've had these promises over the years of buying security software. We'll be up and running in 30 days and, you know, four or five months later we're still tinkering. So I was cautiously optimistic and when it happened, like we gave the API key, we plugged it in and literally within the day the data's flowing in and we're getting value from the platform in 24 hours. That's pretty game changing.

And one really nice thing that the platform provides is not only, hey, here's the problem, but a recommendation of like, here's how you can resolve this. Everything gets shipped into Jira tickets, created the team, triages it, manages the issue, closes it. It's a pretty seamless integration that, you know, my team's not going into three different dashboards to manage four different tickets to resolve an issue.

CISOs, CIOs, you know, heads of data, I think could all benefit from the Vorlon platform. It solves a problem that has been around for years, if not maybe even a decade, that's had no graceful way to solve it.
